Stylist’s haven in the Pink City • Built as a love letter from a husband to his wife, the daughter of the Maharana of Mewar, two hundred and fifty years ago the private palace remains a romantic garden retreat recalling the region’s regal past with suites named after famous guests, including the Princess of Wales suite and Kennedy Suite. In a region known for extravagance, Sujan Rajmahal Palace includes 14 unique lavishly decorated suites with various themes and artistic elements like the buta, or paisley, of Persian origin, cypress, and geometric inspirations from local stone carving motifs on forts and palaces. Exquisite tea service on manicured lawns and open terraces evoke the spirit of the raj when everything slows down for the quintessential afternoon tea. Jaipur, India
