Af­ter Dhar­avi, Asia’s big­gest slum is Mu­lund to Bhandup. In fact it is equiv­a­lent to Dhar­avi Slums. As per Gov­ern­ment of Ma­ha­rash­tra, Ward L (Kurla , Chan­di­vali), Ward S (Bhandup, Vikhroli), Ward C ( Marine Lines), Ward T (Mu­lund) and Ward D ( Grant Road, Gir­gaon), are most en­croached upon ar­eas. Samta Na­gar in Kan­di­vali and Gore­gaon East and Mu­lund to Bhandup, Go­vandi, Chem­bur and Ghatkopar are the ar­eas where max­i­mum slum pop­u­la­tion persist. Slum pop­u­la­tions are least pre­ferred ar­eas since most crimes hap­pens in th­ese ar­eas. Traf­fic con­ges­tions and huge nose to nose crowd makes worst living con­di­tions. Il­le­gal wa­ter con­nec­tion make the wa­ter pres­sure low­est and scarcity per­sists.
