CM assures rehabilitation of PAP of Metro-3
Mumbai Metro-3 is facing huge protest form Shiv Sena and residents of Dadar, Girgaum and Kalbadevi, who are asked to shift their homes. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Metro rail project will not be scrapped and concern related to rehabilitation will be taken care. The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) will need to shift 261 tenants and 94 shops from 8 buildings in Girgaum, 121 tenants and 173 shops from 18 buildings in Kalbadevi and 8 families from one building in Dadar to construct Metro stations. The state government corporation is exploring options of rehabilitating the residents on the same site.
