Adorn - - OFF THE SHELF -

Fernando Jorge explores a brave new world with unisex jewellery designs that underscore his native sensibility with sculptural forms. Parallel – his first foray into unisex creations – has stemmed from his desire to wear his own creations. “I love jewellery, but all my designs so far have been for women. After 15 years of designing, I finally felt a strong desire to wear jewellery and design pieces that men as well as women could wear,” he says.

Cushion-cut brown diamonds and graduating lines set the tone of the collection along with interesting semi-precious stones that accent the cufflinks, unisex pendants, rings and bracelets. For the cuffs, Fernando has created a beige-toned alloy using palladium: parallel lines in yellow, beige and white gold lean towards masculinity in the Grooved and Doubled bracelets and rings. Inlaid with brown horns (buffalo), the gold Tag bracelets and rings bear a soft beige hue. The bendable gold snake chain – Fernando’s signature motif – slithers through his parallel universe and extends into several feminine pieces, comprising chain earrings, pendants, necklaces and rutilated quartz cocktail rings. Thoroughly contemporary!
