Atruly creative spirit, Delhi-based Neha Dani designs art pieces encrusted with gems. The young designer took her flamboyant sculptural creations to elegant new heights at the acclaimed international fair PAD Paris (Art + Design) this April – represented by Karry Gallery. Exhibiting at PAD for the first time, she unveiled her striking creations to an inspiring response from collectors and jewellery connoisseurs alike. Neha, who delved into art’s fascinating territory, admits to being continually inspired by the works of Vincent Van Gogh, Monet, E’mile Galle and creating her own “pieces of art form with a stir in them, making them feel almost alive.” Founder of Karry Gallery, Karry Berreby had been following Neha’s work for a while. This interest sparked creative conversations, resulting in the gallery representing the designer at this year’s fair. “Showcasing at PAD Paris among artists of today’s contemporary period, who expressed themselves through various mediums, was not only an exhilarating experience but also truly inspiring. Being featured in Art Daily again was an encouraging acknowledgement of my work. I have always worked on each piece to stand out as an individual art object and it was hugely fulfilling to see that happen at the show,” says Neha.
Named a JCK Rising Star in 2014, the designer has been on the radar of many a jewel collector. The PAD fair has emboldened the designer; unwilling to confine her work to a geographical boundary, Neha has set her sights on similar noteworthy art and design shows in far corners of the globe.
