REVIVING LOST ART
one of India’s largest fashion jewellery brands, recently launched in Mumbai its Patola collection conceptualised and designed in collaboration with famous entrepreneur Bela Shanghvi, Patola art revivalist. The jewellery line is inspired by the age-old Patan Patola weave from Gujarat. Shanghvi was happy about the collaboration and remarked that the aim was to make the traditional handloom and handicraft techniques relevant by changing design forms. “We have created jewellery that is in keeping with the current design trends using timehonoured craftsmanship,” noted Vishwas Shringi, founder and CEO of Voylla.
