BRIDAL FINERY

Adorn - - GOINGS ON -

Jewellery designer Shaheen Abbas hosted a wine and cheese soiree at the AZA store in Bandra, Mumbai, to celebrate the unveiling of her first bridal gifting collection titled Urooj. Launched under the Flower Child fashion jewellery label, each handcrafted piece highlights the interplay of pearls, coloured stones and spiked detailing with 18-karat gold plating. Urooj, which means ‘rising’ in Urdu, signifies a new dawn that spreads light and power to modern brides-to-be—a rising sun serves as the leitmotif for the collection. The collection ticks every box on the wedding itinerary, and is a fitting pick for bridesmaids’ gifts, wedding favours and destination wedding wardrobes.

AZA’s creative director Devangi Parekh and Shaheen played hosts to friends who attended the event to show their love and support. Present were Shaheen’s husband Roshan Abbas along with Payal Singhal, Nachiket Barve, Gauhar Khan, Sonali, Kulkarni, Tisca Chopra, Kubra Sait, Mrunal Thakur, Mini Mathur, Kim Sharma, Shruti Seth, Krishika Lulla, Gaurav Kapur, Nisha Jhangiani, and Rebecca Dewan among others.
