Lacoste updates its iconic crocodile logo with 10 endangered species
French polo T-shirt brand Lacoste is replacing its iconoclastic crocodile logo with newly minted logos of 10 critically endangered species for a limited edition range of T-shirts. This is the first time in Lacoste’s history of 85 years that Lacoste will play with its logo. Aptly titled ‘Save Our Species’, the initiative is in partnership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature. A range of only 1,775 T-shirts, it was launched at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week and is now being sold on a microsite on its French website. The number of T-shirts in each logo series tallies the remaining population of the given species in the wild.
