In­ti­ma­sia 2018 gen­er­ates busi­ness worth Rs. 500 crore

In­ti­ma­sia 2018, held from 8-10 March 2018 at Kochi, gen­er­ated busi­ness worth Rs. 500 crore, which is around 20% of the to­tal value of the in­dus­try cur­rently pegged at Rs. 2,450 crore. “The amount of rev­enue gen­er­ated through this event has left us amazed. The suc­cess of the event in yield­ing busi­ness shows that such kinds of events have be­come the need of the hour to sus­tain growth in the in­dus­try,” said Yusuf Do­had­wala, Chief Or­gan­iser & CEO of In­ti­mate Ap­parel As­so­ci­a­tion of In­dia.

Lin­gerie, men’s in­ner­wear, kids’ in­ner­wear, sleep­wear, loungewear, camisoles, slips, swimwear, beach­wear, shapewear, ther­mals, ac­tivewear, yo­gawear and socks were show­cased at the event. In­ti­mate ap­parel re­tail­ers, as well as fash­ion en­trepreneurs, brands, man­u­fac­tur­ers and in­dus­try stake­hold­ers got an in­cred­i­ble op­por­tu­nity to get con­nected with each other. Those who at­tended the event also ex­changed their ex­pe­ri­ences and ideas about the in­dus­try. The three-day event saw par­tic­i­pa­tion from brands such as US Polo, Hanes, V-Star, Ram­raj, Naidu Hall, Lux Dol­lar, Body­care, Paris Beauty, Juliet, Lit­tle Lacy, Sherry, Lady Care, Sweet Dreams, Red Rose, Sonari among other flour­ish­ing la­bels in this line of busi­ness. Work­shops, ex­hi­bi­tions, fash­ion shows, press jun­kets, talks and award cer­e­monies were the ma­jor at­trac­tions of the ap­parel fair. As per the press re­lease is­sued, the 2018 edi­tion of In­ti­ma­sia helped more than 1,200 ap­parel firms to pro­mote and mar­ket their brands and fur­ther ex­pand their cus­tomer base.
