CITI re-elected its office bearers
Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) has re-elected the office-bearers at its AGM. Sanjay K Jain, Managing Director, TT Limited, a vertically integrated textiles company
(fibre to fashion) having its manufacturing units in various States of the country has been re-elected as Chairman.
T. Rajkumar, Chairman, Sri Mahasakthi Mills Limited, Kerala, Sri Arumuga Enterprise Limited and Foundation One Infrastructures Pvt Ltd, Tamil Nadu, has been re-elected as Deputy Chairman of CITI. D.L. Sharma, Director, Vardhman Textiles Ltd. and MD of Vardhman Yarns and Threads Limited, has been re-elected as Vice Chairman.
Sanjay stated that he and his team will focus on rebuilding the status of Indian textile industry as a major sourcing hub in the international market through best quality products and best price. He pointed out that irrespective of many major challenges that Indian textiles industry witnessed in last few months, he is happy to see that the industry is again on the growth path.
During the AGM, CITI also signed 2 MoUs. The MoU with ‘National Stock Exchange’ will create awareness on managing currency risk and raising of equity capital for MSMEs through stock exchange platform. Similarly, CITI Chairman highlighted that the
MoU with ZDHC is for creating awareness amongst textiles and clothing industry on zero discharge of hazardous chemicals and addressing environmental issues on a sustainability manner.
