Canada gets into NAFTA 2.0 as NAFTA comes to an end in September
After more than one year of negotiations, Canada finally reached a new free trade agreement with Mexico and the United States. The US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) will replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) which came into force on 1 January 1994, creating what was at that time the world’s largest free trade region. This new trade deal will certainly affect the apparel sector in Canada and the results will be seen in upcoming months.
