Bombay Dyeing to Launch Ready Made Clothing
In a bid to re-enter the apparel segment, Bombay Dyeing is planning to launch its own ready-to-wear menswear brand. Previously, the company owned the clothing label Vivaldi, which it subsequently sold to Proline. Its new brand will first be test-marketed in the southern regions of India and then launched all over the country. This Wadia group owned textiles company is planning to launch 100 franchise stores this year, chiefly in tier II and III cities. It currently boasts 200 franchise stores, 27 company-owned stores and 3000 multi-brand outlets. Bombay Dyeing has recorded a 30 to 35 per cent growth in the retail and textile segments.
