Actor Sooraj Pancholi to Launch Athleisure Brand
Actor Sooraj Pancholi will launch an athleisure brand next year, which is targeted at the youth and will feature an exclusive clothing line. He will be actively involved in the marketing and design of the sportswear brand.
The fitness industry in India is growing at 30 per cent year on year. The average age bracket for Indian fitness enthusiasts is 20 to 35 years, which makes up the majority population of young Indian students and professionals. To be able to tap into this big chunk of the Indian population, with available disposable income and the affinity for fitness, brands focus hugely on the active wear segment.
Fitness no more is an urban phenomenon. The top metros contribute the most but other cities like Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore and Ludhiana are not far behind in their contribution to the fitness industry. Pancholi joins a host of Indian celebrities like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff to own fashion brands.
