4 rooms in 15 square meters

Architecture + Design - - Exploring Design - Company: Matroshka Furniture AB, Sweden

With room for comfort and meetings, even if the space is tight. Matroshka Furniture takes the northern spaces to the big city by using the volume in the room instead of just the floor area. The furniture is based on same principle thing- in- thing as the Russian wooden dolls the name refers to. It includes furnishings for bedrooms, dining room, study and living room. By not only using the floor area but also make use of the height of the room, creates more levels that make the volume better utilized. This makes it possible to isolate and strengthen the various activities, so as to “move up” and work at the workstation or relax down in the couch/ bed. Bring all the seats out and there is room for coffee break for 12 people, or push together the furniture completely and get a dance floor for the party or after work.
