The Atrium Lounge at The Taj Lands’ End in Mumbai, designed by Bobby Mukherji & Associates, was realised recently. The spacious lounge is often referred to as the heart of the hotel with an intimate yet opulent ambience. The bar is the cynosure of the space, donning wood and gold with bevelled mirror.

Paulomi Shah, Director, Bobby Mukherji & Associates, said, “The Atrium Lounge has always been popular amongst its customer base as a place to not only conduct business meetings but also to unwind. The challenge was to lure, considering its location in the hotel. We then decided to create this bar as not only a functional one but a work of art. Being close to the sea, we were inspired by the waves of the ocean and its organic form to compliment a new age vintage charm in an opulent setting.”

Outfitted in a palette with notes of champagne, wood, and chocolate, the interiors signify a thorough grounding in traditional luxury, resolutely confirmed by the look and feel of the bar back and the counter with cigar displays flanked on either side. The look is ‘ tastefully restrained’ with the monochrome colour schemes with dark lacquered furniture pitted against muted backgrounds.
