The Creative Indians is a docu- series showcasing creative professionals across creative industries: art, design, cinema, music, photography, fashion, dance, advertising, stand- up and many others.

The show at heart is an endeavor to deconstruct the creative process of an artist and also a sincere approach to demystify and portray the artist in an inspiring light.

The idea is to bring to forth an artist’s characteristic approach to his art form, his relationship with his craft, the nuances of his works and creations to his motivations and inspirations behind what he does.

We have, in the past, featured AR Rahman, Anuragh Kashyap, Piyush Pandey, Adhuna and Avan Contractor, Anita Dongre, Anoushka Shankar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Prasoon Joshi, Resul Pookutty, Rohit Bal, Bharti Kher among many others

Shooting an episode on Studio Archohm was special.

It is when you meet people like Sourabh Gupta that you realise that some of them are truly the living embodiments of the philosophies they espouse.

Archohm was breathing design. The strikingly unassuming yet imposing structure that houses their offices in Noida, Sector 8 amidst a maddening melange of cultures and disparities in a way encapsulated the philosophy that Archohm is: Real Mad and Indian.

What we came to discover about Archohm was that their commitment to a narrative that is soulful and true runs not just through their structures but through their very way of being. We felt an ethos that was beyond the tangibility of the structures they build but formed a sort of substratum of the very space fusing functionality and aesthetics in a way that one couldn’t tell which came first.

The Creative Indians truly feels honoured to have featured Archohm in it’s Season 3, now playing on Netflix.

Stepping away from what is conventionally construed to be parochially Indian - and styles and themes that dogmatically make anything ‘ western’ synonymous with contemporary, Archohm has managed to sift through the intellectualism to create structures and designs which have honest stories behind their inception, existence and relevance.
