FivD, a technology- led design firm recently collaborat­ed with global design firm HKS Inc to lead the South Asia operations. FivD was founded in 2019 by Gaurav Chopra, the then Managing Director of HKS India, with a mission to reimagine how people engage with the entire value chain of design in Architectu­ral, Engineerin­g and Constructi­on ( AEC) industry.

Chopra has been leading the India operations of HKS for over thirteen years. He will stay on in the role of Consulting Partner as the firm reorganize­s its business structure. The transition comes in response to a strategic move that the US headquarte­red firm implemente­d to expand its business in India.

Gaurav Chopra, Managing Director, FivD, said, “The processes through which we conceive and develop large infrastruc­ture projects in India need to be reimagined. The next decade will be characteri­zed by the adoption of technology, improved connectivi­ty and sustainabl­e living in our offices, health facilities and personal spaces. We are confident that with this new relationsh­ip with HKS, we will be able to improve productivi­ty and focus on design and performanc­e excellence.”

FivD and HKS have previously collaborat­ed on the redevelopm­ent of four UNESCO World Heritage sites i n the historic Indian cities of Agra and Delhi and are currently engaged i n several public sector i nfrastruct­ure projects. These i nclude health facilities for many of the top health systems i n Asia i ncluding Apollo, Fortis, Aster and Parkway Health.
