The seascapes around Zanzibar can only mean a variety of water sports that is certain to get adrenaline junkies on a high. EXPLORE

Jozani Forest, a protected nature reserve, is the only forest in Zanzibar and worth exploring for its uniqueness. Located on a limestone marine terrace, it has mangroves and a salt marsh. It is home to the Zanzibar red colobus, an indigenous monkey found only here, as well as other endangered species such as Aders’ duiker, servaline genet and Zanzibar leopard, which enjoys a mythical status.
