Fly with Thai Airways from New Delhi at 3am or from Mumbai at 11.30pm.

A complex at the heart of the city, The Grand Palace is a tourist delight. The enchanting building houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha or Wat Phra Kaew. You can enjoy your packed lunch in the vicinity, taking in the scenery.

Wat Arun (6kms)

Sitting by Chao Praya River, the Temple of Dawn is an architectu­ral representa­tion of Mount Meru.

Dinner (3kms)

Dine at The Deck by Arun Residence (www.arunreside­nce.com) and try the creamy tom kha kai here, a chicken and galangal soup.

DAY 2 Breakfast (6kms)

Give your day a healthy start with a smoothie bowl with organic açaí berries from MAKAI Açaí & Superfood Bar.

Klongsan Market (11kms)

For local vibes, visit Klongsan Market and savour street food. Shop for some fashionabl­e clothes at reasonable rates. If it’s a weekend, you can also visit the famous Chatuchak Market at night.

Spa (6kms)

Head back to your hotel and visit Devarana Spa. Relax with the ‘Seven Shrines Wish Ritual’ that includes a jasmine and ylang-ylang body exfoliatio­n with frankincen­se essence.

Giant Swing (6kms)
