Motoroyale ties up with a legend

-

BRINGING ALL that’s good from the British motorcycling world to our shores, the Kinetic Group venture Motoroyale has kickstarted an international joint venture with Norton Motorcycles. Collaborating to share their legacy, experience and expertise, this is the second example in a recent trend of Indian motorcycle manufacturers collaborating with the British. The two companies have planned to launch the Norton Commando along with the Norton Dominator by the end of 2018. Customers can choose from the Commando 961 cafe racer and sports models, or the Dominator Sport and Domiracer. The venture also consists of setting up a facility to assemble these bikes in India. Apart from India, the motorcycles will also be available to all ASEAN free trade countries. Estimating the superbike market in India to be about 12,000-15,000 bikes annually and growing at 20 per cent, Motoroyale expects Norton to take 10-14 per cent market share of the same in India alone. The Motorcycles will be build in Ahmednagar, at Kinetic’s manufacturing plant which has the capacity to build 30,000 vehicles annually.
