BMW caters to enthusiasts
BMW MOTORRAD has launched two niche segment motorcycle to the market. The first is the K1600B, a full-size bagger motorcycle which has been designed and developed for touring enthusiasts. It features a 1.6-litre inline six-cylinder engine which develops 160bhp and 175Nm of torque. Launched at Rs 29 lakh (ex-showroom), the bike will enter the country as CBU units. Standard features include Dynamic Traction Control, temperature controlled seats and cruise control, to name a few. The second motorcycle to be launched was one from their Heritage model lineup, the RnineT Racer. It gets it power from a 1.2-litre two-cylinder boxer unit developing 110bhp and 116Nm of torque. The bike will be available as a CBU unit and gets a price tag of Rs 17.3 lakh (ex-showroom).
