Mercedes-Maybach is back
MERCEDES-BENZ India revealed pricing on the ultimate models in the S-Class range, the Mercedes-Maybach S560 and S650. The differences versus the standard S-Class can largely be boiled down to an 8 inch stretch in wheelbase. The Maybach cars also get more exclusive interior options. As far as safety goes, 9 airbags are standard as is the full Mercedes active and passive safety technology. The S560 is powered by a 4-litre V8 with 463bhp, with 4MATIC all-wheel drive it’s good for a 0-100kmph run of 4.8 seconds. On the other hand, the S650 gets a hand-built 6-litre V12 with 630bhp and 1,000Nm torque, which can do the 0-100kmph run in 4.6 seconds. The Mercedes-Maybach S560 is priced at Rs 1.94 crore and the more powerful S650 is Rs 2.73 crore, ex-showroom.
