Mahindra XUV500 gets a facelift

MAHINDRA HAS been teasing the XUV500’s facelift for a while. The company launched the new XUV500 and there are plenty of new aspects to look forward to; like the front grille is now bigger with a new mesh-like design. The car also gets updated bumpers and headlamps with DRLs finished in chrome. Under the hood, the top-spec variant XUV 500 will get a more powerful version of the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The engine now produces 155bhp and 360Nm in the top-end variant. The lower end variants will continue to get 140bhp and 330Nm engine. Mahindra will also be offering a petrol variant. As for the interiors, they certainly have gotten posher and now come in a tan and black theme; in the new quilted tan leather seats, a softtouch leather dashboard and door trims along with a new piano-black center console. The XUV500 will be available in seven new colours - New Crimson Red, New Mystic Copper, Pearl White, Volcano Black, Moondust Silver, Opulent Purple, and Lake Side Brown. Prices start at Rs 12.32 lakh.
