Norton 961 Cafe Racer bookings begin

INTRODUCED TO the Indian markets at a price of Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom Pune), British motorcycle manufactur­er launched the Commando 961 Cafe Racer, booking for which begin at Rs 11 lakh. Though not currently manufactur­ed or assembled in India, the 961 Cafe Racer will initially be imported to India courtesy the CBU route. Inspired by the classic cafe racers, under the tank sits a 961cc, parallel-twin motor with 2-valve head and push-rod actuation. Power figures by Norton stand at 80bhp and 90Nm of torque. The India-spec motorcycle will get a lower power figures of around 72bhp and 67Nm of torque.
