Norton 961 Cafe Racer bookings begin
INTRODUCED TO the Indian markets at a price of Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom Pune), British motorcycle manufacturer launched the Commando 961 Cafe Racer, booking for which begin at Rs 11 lakh. Though not currently manufactured or assembled in India, the 961 Cafe Racer will initially be imported to India courtesy the CBU route. Inspired by the classic cafe racers, under the tank sits a 961cc, parallel-twin motor with 2-valve head and push-rod actuation. Power figures by Norton stand at 80bhp and 90Nm of torque. The India-spec motorcycle will get a lower power figures of around 72bhp and 67Nm of torque.
