Pulsar 150 spruced up

HAVING BEEN a rather popular answer to everyday commuting, Bajaj Auto have given the tried and tested Pulsar a new avatar. Adding a touch of sportiness to its 150cc segment, the new Pulsar 150 now comes with twin disc brakes at a price of Rs 78,016 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

This new variant will be made available in addition to the existing single disc model. According to Eric Vas, president motorcycle business, “Pulsar 150 has always been synonymous to sporti- ness and masculine charm. While retaining the core, the new twin disc Pulsar 150 will offer contempora­ry option to motorcycle enthusiast­s. The new Pulsar 150 twin disc is targeted at the youth who gets comfort in performanc­e and mileage of bike but is looking for a sportier option.”

Apart f ro m twin disc brakes, the new motorcycle will also get new colour and design scheme, split seats, longer wheelbase and wider rear tyre. These changes should definitely affect handling and hopefully improve stability while the twin discs will is sure to enhance braking performanc­e.

According to Bajaj, the new variant will continue to churn 14bhp of power and 13.4Nm of torque with the robust 149.5cc DTS-i engine.

Apart from the previous colour options of Pulsar 150, the new Pulsar will be available in three colours Black Blue, Black Red and Black

chrome.
