Pul­sar 150 spruced up

HAV­ING BEEN a rather pop­u­lar an­swer to ev­ery­day com­mut­ing, Ba­jaj Auto have given the tried and tested Pul­sar a new avatar. Adding a touch of sporti­ness to its 150cc seg­ment, the new Pul­sar 150 now comes with twin disc brakes at a price of Rs 78,016 (ex-show­room, Delhi).

This new vari­ant will be made avail­able in ad­di­tion to the ex­ist­ing sin­gle disc model. Ac­cord­ing to Eric Vas, pres­i­dent mo­tor­cy­cle busi­ness, “Pul­sar 150 has al­ways been syn­ony­mous to sporti- ness and mas­cu­line charm. While re­tain­ing the core, the new twin disc Pul­sar 150 will of­fer con­tem­po­rary op­tion to mo­tor­cy­cle en­thu­si­asts. The new Pul­sar 150 twin disc is tar­geted at the youth who gets com­fort in per­for­mance and mileage of bike but is look­ing for a sportier op­tion.”

Apart f ro m twin disc brakes, the new mo­tor­cy­cle will also get new colour and de­sign scheme, split seats, longer wheel­base and wider rear tyre. These changes should def­i­nitely af­fect han­dling and hope­fully im­prove sta­bil­ity while the twin discs will is sure to en­hance brak­ing per­for­mance.

Ac­cord­ing to Ba­jaj, the new vari­ant will con­tinue to churn 14bhp of power and 13.4Nm of torque with the ro­bust 149.5cc DTS-i en­gine.

Apart from the pre­vi­ous colour op­tions of Pul­sar 150, the new Pul­sar will be avail­able in three colours Black Blue, Black Red and Black
