TVS Apache RTR160 4V
An essential factor to consider for any daily commuter while purchasing a motorcycle is comfort. Specifically, the ergonomics of the motorcycle need to be comfortable for both the pillion and the rider. For a commuter like me who travels 40-50 kilometers daily in heavy traffic, my choice has to be wise. The Apache RTR160 fulfills my criteria for a comfortable city slicker as I’m impressed at how well it fuses sporty dynamics with good ride quality.
The new 160 4V uses a uni-seat and its shape and dimensions help me achieve a perfect riding posture. The cushioning isn’t too hard or soft either and the cover is also made up of durable materials. The pillion can easily use the grab rails as they’re conveniently positioned while even looking good in their design. The footpegs for both rider and pillion are positioned rearward to be sporty yet, are comfortable without putting stress on the legs over longer runs. I do like the single piece handlebar over the 200’s clip-on styled bars as they are placed higher and are wide enough to offer ample leverage. Lastly, the suspension is what decides overall comfort and the 160 4V’s telescopic front and preload-adjustable rear monoshock work extremely well over various undulations. Speed breakers and pot-holes are dealt with ease, never upsetting the chassis or transferring the shock to the rider.
