Hyundai Kona Electric

HYUNDAI INITIALLY planned to launch the Ioniq sedan here in India. However, the company has changed its plans and they will launch the Kona EV instead. The Kona EV that will be introduced in India is the version with 300 kilometres of range from a 39.2kWh battery pack. The electric motor develops 134hp and 395Nm of torque. The electric vehicle is designed for the future and it looks the part. The front end comes with a two-tier lighting console and then there is a faux grille like a conventional car. Hyundai will also assemble the Kona EV at their Chennai plant which is now being re-tooled to accommodate the Kona EV production line.
