Benelli TRK 251

THERE IS little doubt that the adventure motorcycle category is taking this category by a complete storm. And adding fuel to this fire is the sporty-looking TRK 251. We saw the motorcycle at last year’s EICMA show and at the Auto Show that was held earlier this year and we can safely say that it sure looks capable and tempting at the same time. The TRK 251 is powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled single which is good for 25.8bhp and 21.2Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels using a six-speed manual gearbox. The TRK 251 is paired with 17-inch wheels both up front and in the rear as well and are shod on alloy wheels. It offers a mega 200mm of ground clearance which sure is good for most off-road and city excursions as well. A large 17 litre fuel tank should also ensure a rather decent cruising range without regular refuelling pit stops. Adding to the overall appeal of the motorcycle is the fact that it weighs a mere 153kgs. We expect this new adventure tourer to touch the India shores by mid 2019. However it will be a pricey affair.
