Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 & Interceptor 650

WE HAVE been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Royal Enfield 650 ‘Twins’ and it seems the company will launch the duo during the Diwali season. The two models will sport identical twin-cylinder engines which will displace 650cc and offer 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. The parallel twin motor will be air-cooled but will feature fuel injection. The motor has been developed from the ground up at the company’s UK design and tech centre and the motorcycles also gets a slip and assist clutch. Both the Continental GT 650 and the Interceptor 650 will employ a double cradle, steel tubular frame as well as 41mm front forks and twin, coil over shocks at the rear. While the Continental GT sports an aggressive cafe racer stance, the Interceptor is more of a proper cruiser completely with loads of chrome and a comfy riding position.
