Automakers pitch in for Kerala
IN THE light of floods wreaking havoc in Kerala, several car makers have extended support to the flood-affected areas. Hyundai has put in action a special task force to assist its customers and will provide 50 per cent discount on depreciation on insurance claims and special discount on parts and lubricants. About 100 technicians have been assigned to expedite the repair of vehicles and get them on the road. Similarly Mercedes-Benz announced a contribution of Rs 25 lakh towards the CM National Relief Fund, while dealer partners will pitch in an additional Rs 5 lakh towards the funds to support flood relief work. Additionally, the company will contribute Rs 1 crore towards flood relief work and offer extended support and services to those who have been affected by the floods. Tata Motors’ Passenger Vehicle department will be offering free towing assistance to affected Tata cars and UVs. Affected Tata customers can contact their nearest service center or call Tata Motors’ toll-free assistance to get their vehicles towed to the nearest authorised workshop. BMW Motors, on the other hand will be provide aftersales support for its customers and will prioritise ordering of all spare parts for Kerala dealership workshops.
