TVS invests in Ultraviolette

BANGALORE-BASED Ultraviolette Automotive has announced an additional investment of Rs. 6 crore by TVS Motor Company. The company is currently engaged in the development of an electric motorcycle. If Ultraviolette’s claims are to be believed, their electric motorcycle will outperform conventional products with engine capacity ranging from 200cc to 250cc. It will have smart features like on-board diagnostics, preventive maintenance, over the air upgrades and ride customisation. The investment will help ramp up the development of high-end electric power trains, battery modules and connected technology.
