Lambo Aventador SVJ unveiled

IN JULY, Lamborghini revealed details regarding a new track-focused tool that had claimed the lap record around the Nurburgring. Christened Aventador SVJ, it beat the Porsche 911 GT2 RS’ time of 6 minutes 47.3 seconds by going around the 20.7km track in 6 minutes 44.97 seconds. The car was unveiled last month. Track focused modifications made by Lamborghini’s engineers to the four-wheel drive system, rear-wheel steering and ESC and increased usage of lightweight materials have helped the ‘Jota’ achieve the blistering lap time. Changes to its V12 power plant have led to an increase in power and torque outputs over the Aventa- dor SV. While the SV makes 740bhp and 690Nm, the SVJ churns out 770bhp and 720Nm. 0 to 100kmph comes in 2.8 seconds and 0 to 200kmph in 8.6 seconds.
