THE FOURTH round of the FIM Asia Road Racing Cham­pi­onship con­cluded at the MMRT on last month. An­thony West pi­loted his Yamaha to two vic­to­ries over the race week­end. The first race saw him slip down to third from his pole po­si­tion start. How­ever, with just two laps re­main­ing, the Aus­tralian rider fought past Md Zaqh­wan Zaidi and Taiga Hada rid­ing Hon­das. West dom­i­nated the sec­ond race notch­ing up a lights to flag vic­tory 7s ahead of To­moyoshi Koy­oma. Taiga Hada of Honda Idemitsu Racing In­dia se­cured an­other third place fin­ish. In the Asia Pro­duc­tion 250cc class, Rheza Dan­ica Ahrens of As­tra Honda took vic­tory in the first race while race 2 saw Ah­mad Fa­zli Sham of Onexox TKKR Yamaha grab the top spot. In­dian rider, Ra­jiv Sethu scored his first points of the sea­son with a 13th place fin­ish in race 1. How­ever, he could man­age only 16th po­si­tion in the sec­ond race. Com­pa­triot and team­mate Anish Shetty crashed out in the first race and fin­ished 19th in the sec­ond.
