THE FOURTH round of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship concluded at the MMRT on last month. Anthony West piloted his Yamaha to two victories over the race weekend. The first race saw him slip down to third from his pole position start. However, with just two laps remaining, the Australian rider fought past Md Zaqhwan Zaidi and Taiga Hada riding Hondas. West dominated the second race notching up a lights to flag victory 7s ahead of Tomoyoshi Koyoma. Taiga Hada of Honda Idemitsu Racing India secured another third place finish. In the Asia Production 250cc class, Rheza Danica Ahrens of Astra Honda took victory in the first race while race 2 saw Ahmad Fazli Sham of Onexox TKKR Yamaha grab the top spot. Indian rider, Rajiv Sethu scored his first points of the season with a 13th place finish in race 1. However, he could manage only 16th position in the second race. Compatriot and teammate Anish Shetty crashed out in the first race and finished 19th in the second.
