Cayenne’s new electric heart

PORSCHE LAUNCHED the third generation Cayenne in India with prices starting from Rs 1.19 crore for the standard, and going up till Rs 1.58 crore for the e-Hybrid and Rs 1.92 crore for the Turbo. The Cayenne gets a revised chassis and a separated link design for the front axle and a multilink rear axle, which is optional. The design is evolved and gets a sharper look while maintainin­g the traditiona­l attire. It gets LED Matrix Beam headlights, which also includes Porsche Dynamic Light System, which really gives the Cayenne an aggressive look. Power to the Cayenne comes from a range of V6 and V8 engines. The standard version gets 3.0-litre single-turbo V6 with 335bhp and 450Nm, while the Cayenne S draws power from a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that produces 433bhp and 550Nm of torque. The Turbo packs in 542bhp and 770Nm from a 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine, with a top speed of 286kmph.
