VW and Microsoft to share tech

VOLKSWAGEN AND Microsoft have announced strategic partnership to develop ‘Volkswagen Automotive Cloud’, which will provide cloud service for all future VW digital services and mobility offerings. From 2020, more than five million new VW vehicles will be fully connected and will be a part of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the cloud. All future VW vehicles will be built on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform and services. VW will also establish a new cloud development office in North America near the latter’s headquarters.
