Mahindra’s electric Treo
MAHINDRA ELECTRIC launched the Treo and Treo Yaari electric three wheelers in India at a price of Rs. 1.36 lakh and Rs. 2.22 lakh ex-showroom, pan-India. The company says that the new Treo electric three-wheeler is an advanced electric last mile mobility solution which is primarily aimed at metro cities to serve the purpose of metro feeders and other shared mobility usages. Both the electric models come with soft top and hard top version as well. The Treo is a 4-seater electric three-wheeler powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery with a battery capacity of 7.37KWh. It has a total travel range of 170kms and takes up to 3.5 hours to fully charge. The max power is 5.4kW and peak torque is 30Nm. The Treo Yaari, on the other hand, is a 5-seater electric three-wheeler with a top speed of 24.5kmph and travel range of 85km. It gets a 48V lithium ion battery with a smaller 3.69kwh battery capacity. Charge time is around 2.5 hours, while the max power is 2kW and peak torque is 17.5Nm. The company also inaugurated India’ first electric technology hub in Bengaluru, which will also manufacture the Treo range. Initially, Mahindra will launch the Treo range in Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and will then gradually introduce in other regions. The price also includes the installation of a charging station at the customers perferred location.
