Hyundai Venue

Look who is back! Our Hyundai Venue is back at our headquarter in Noida after a mega drive which took it across the breadth of our vast nation. From the mega Statue of Unity to the border post in Arunachal, the Great India Drive was sure an epic adventure. But this journey has also meant that the Venue has logged on over 10,000km in a rather short span of time. These 10,000km have been on roads and no roads and this means that the Venue is no longer brand new. Or is it?

Let’s begin with the fact that the Venue was first handed over to us with just about a thousand kilometers on the clock. From then on till now it has logged in nearly 12,000km in a very short span of time. But I am happy to report that all that the Venue needed was a general service! Yup, the little SUV is working flawlessly and there isn’t a rattle or squeak emanating from the car. Be it the suspension or the body, everything feels just as tight as new. That is truly saying something about the overall build quality. The motor also feels smooth (albeit it has got a fresh bout of oil and oil filter at service) and even the gearbox is chirpy enough to keep me enthused. Excellent! I also like the fact that the air purifier is still holding up well and performs well.

The only thing which needed attention was the software of the infotainment system. It kept disconnecting from the bluetooth connection. On informing the same to the service centre, the guys did some sort of update and now it works just right. Looking forward to a whole lot of kilometers in the next few months.
