VW confirms Polo for Russia
IF YOU were wondering Volkswagen is working on a new generation of the Polo, then you read it absolutely wrong, because we are talking about the new Polo sedan that the company has confirmed for Russia. Before we get to the changes, the biggest addition is the new VW logo that Polo sports, making it the first VW vehicle in Russia to get it.
The new Polo comes with an upgraded grille, a new front bumper and a rear diffuser, while the model name is now located directly below the logo at the rear. The Polo has grown in proportions and is now 4,483mm long, 1,706mm wide and 1,467mm in height with a boot capacity of 550litres.
VW will offer the Polo with a 1.6-litre engine with power outputs of 90bhp and 110bhp, and a 1.4-litre with 125bhp. Power units with a capacity of 90bhp and 110bhp are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A 110bhp can also be equipped with a 6-speed AT.
