A lot of excitement coming in

-

The Tata pavillion was full of surprises at the the 2020 Auto Expo. Let’s begin with the HBX Concept which is essentially a micro-SUV in lines of the Renault Kwid and the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. The HBX is a near production ready concept and we are happy to report that most of the design elements barring the oversized wheels and roof rack could be a part of the production car. This makes it a rather inviting option.

At the front, the HBX features a split-headlamp setup with the main cluster lower down on the bumper much like the Harrier. The HBX has a butch, upright stance thanks to the prominent shoulder-line along the sides and prominent and flared wheel arches. A raked rear windscreen and high set LED tail-lamps give it a rather interesting look. Adding to the overall

SUV feel are the skid plates both up front and rear. Since the HBX is heading to production we expect it to be powered by a petrol motor; a 1.2-litre three cylinder to be precise. Needless to say, Tata will offer the HBX with a manual transmission and also an AMT as it is the need of the day. A diesel has been ruled out completely. The other update regarding the HBX is the fact that it could in future be offered with an electric powertrain.
