THE 13TH edition of the Mahindra BAJA SAE India was a cracker of an event as only 76 teams from a total of 120 mbaja teams crossed the chequered flag at the end of a gruesome four hours of endurance race. Earlier in the weekend, 10 out of 53 eBAJA teams had finished a two hour long endurance race.

Team E-Ziba Racers from Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, Andhra Pradesh bagged the ‘Best eBAJA Team’ and D.Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi, Pune was declared the ‘ Best mBAJA Team’.

The teams designed the buggy with a speed limit of 60kmph and were evaluated on the basis of its ability to operate continuously at a speed over rough terrain that included water-crossing, a mix of sandy and gravel sections and some elevation changes.
