Honda teases Jazz facelift

-

HONDA CARS INDIA released a teaser image of the 2020 Jazz, but don’t get excited too soon as this is just a cosmetic and mechanical update and not the new generation that was launched globally. Honda will update the Jazz with minor aesthetic changes and BS-VI compliant petrol and diesel engine options. Honda India has not announced any major detail of the updated Jazz, however, the BS-VI Jazz will carry a premium price over the outgoing model and could retail between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (all prices ex showroom, India). The major change is of course the BS-VI compliant petrol and diesel engines that will continue to power the same 1.2-litre iVTEC petrol engine and a 1.5-litre iDTEC diesel engine. The petrol mill will churn out 90bhp and 110Nm while the diesel will develop 100bhp and 200Nm. Power will be sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual and a CVT unit for the petrol version while the diesel variant will only get a 5-speed manual gearbox initially.
