Royal Enfield Meteor 350

-

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been with us for a couple of months now and let me tell you that till now has been a splendid experience riding this bike. In the last issue, we spoke to you about the benefits of having a windshield during winters and in this one, let’s talk about the lights. On a rather cold foggy morning I rode out the bike and realised the importance of have LED daytime running lights and tail lights. Both units were bright enough making it easier for fellow motorists to spot me. This is something which seems to be well thought about and even at night the visibility offered by the headlight is good enough. However having a modern LED bulb inside would have made things even better. It is surely a common conversion and the bike can be retrofitted with it. However it will be good to check with an authorised service centre for warranty. To be honest it should not as it is purely a plug and play system here.

The other thing I would like to talk about is the seat. The bike we are running comes with standard seats and they tend to feel a bit hard for my liking. Royal Enfield has a rather long list of accessories in the offing. This list also includes a touring seat. I have been using it on my very own Royal Enfield Himalayan and it works like a treat. I highly recommend having it instead of going for aftermarket covers. The pillion seat though seems a tad too small and on longer journeys the fact that it has very less movement space can become a cause of discomfort. But let me comment on it once I have ridden with someone at the back. Till then ride safe and stay tuned.

THE TOURING SEAT WOULD BE MY FIRST GO TO ACCESSORY ON THE ROYAL ENFIELD METEOR 350
