Honda introduces its 650 twins
HONDA MOTORCYCLE & Scooter India launched the 2021 CBR650R and CB650R at Rs 8.88 lakh, and Rs 8.67 lakh (both ex-showroom, Gurugram) respectively. Both the models have taken the CKD (completely knocked down) route to enter the market. The 650 twins are powered by a 649cc, DOHC, 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder engine that develops 86bhp and 57.5Nm. The 650 siblings sit on a twin-tube type frame. There are SSF-BP (Showa Separate Function-Big Piston) USD forks at the front. They get 5-spoke Y-shaped aluminium wheels. There are dual discs at the front with four-piston brake calipers and a single disc at the rear. Also, dual-channel ABS is standard. While the CBR650R is offered in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic colour options, the CB650R gets Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic paint schemes.
