Honda introduces its 650 twins


HONDA MOTORCYCLE & Scooter India launched the 2021 CBR650R and CB650R at Rs 8.88 lakh, and Rs 8.67 lakh (both ex-showroom, Gurugram) respective­ly. Both the models have taken the CKD (completely knocked down) route to enter the market. The 650 twins are powered by a 649cc, DOHC, 16-valve, in-line 4-cylinder engine that develops 86bhp and 57.5Nm. The 650 siblings sit on a twin-tube type frame. There are SSF-BP (Showa Separate Function-Big Piston) USD forks at the front. They get 5-spoke Y-shaped aluminium wheels. There are dual discs at the front with four-piston brake calipers and a single disc at the rear. Also, dual-channel ABS is standard. While the CBR650R is offered in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic colour options, the CB650R gets Candy Chromosphe­re Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic paint schemes.
