TATA TIGOR EV

-

Based on the Tigor sub-4m compact sedan, this is currently the most affordable electric car available in India. It’s Tata Motors’ first all-electric offering that was initially targeted only at fleet operators and commercial vehicle buyers. With a single motor setup that drives the front wheels and a 21.5kWh battery pack, the Tigor EV has a claimed range of 213km. Visually, the Tigor EV is identical to the pre-facelift version of the compact sedan with EV badging on the front grille and boot lid. Tata offers the compact sedan in three trims with the range-topping XT+ grade boasting features like dual front airbags, LED tail lamp inserts, alloy wheels, power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, an audio setup with Bluetooth, USB and AUX support and more. With a 15kW fast charger, the Tigor EV can be juiced up from 0 to 80 per cent in two hours (claimed) while charging via a 15A AC socket takes 11.5 hours from 0 to 100 per cent. With FAME II incentives, the Tigor EV is priced between Rs 10.58 lakh and Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom) but these prices are applicable only for public transport or those registered for commercial purposes. Private buyers are not eligible for the Rs 2.15 lakh benefit under the scheme so you will end up paying around Rs 13 lakh for the car.
