MAHINDRA eKUV100

-

Unveiled at the Auto Expo in February 2020, Mahindra’s eKUV100 was initially slated to go on sale by April 2020. However, that has not been the case, possibly due to the ongoing pandemic, and Mahindra Electric is yet to announce a revised launch date. It did shed light on key aspects of the eKUV100, though. The EV gets a 15.9kWh lithium ion battery pack and Mahindra claims an overall range of 147km. It has a maximum power output of 54bhp and a peak torque of 120Nm. 0 to 80 per cent charge using a fast charger can be achieved in an hour as per claims. The price of the eKUV100 was announced as well at Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom) inclusive of FAME II benefits. Considering there are no benefits for private car buyers, the eKUV100 is likely to cost close to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) if aren’t planning on using it commercially.
