Velar receives a mid-cycle makeover

JAGUAR LAND ROVER INDIA launched the updated Velar at a starting price of Rs 79.87 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Velar is being offered in the R-Dynamic S variant only with Ingenium 2.0-litre petrol and diesel powertrain options. The facelift has been loaded with new features like 3D surround camera, electronic air suspension and cabin air ionisation with PM2.5 filter, as well as the new Pivi Pro infotainment system.

The petrol engine develops 250bhp and 365Nm, while the diesel mill produces 204bhp and 430Nm. Both motors are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. The petrol version of the luxury SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 7.5 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 217kmph, while the diesel variant can complete a 0-100kmph sprint in 8.2 seconds, with its claimed top speed being 210kmph.
