Skoda introduces new Octavia
SKODA INDIA launched the new Octavia at a starting price of Rs 25.99 lakh ex-showroom, while the L&K variant will set you back by Rs 28.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India). In this new iteration, the Octavia gets autonomous safety features and some new tech under the skin to set it apart in the segment. At the heart of the fourth-generation Octavia is a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine belting out 190bhp and 320Nm, mated to a 7-speed
DSG automatic that sends power to the front two wheels.
The Octavia boasts of a sharper and more aggressive front with a newly-designed grille having a chrome-plated frame, narrower headlamps with bi-LED technology and LED fog lamps. The coupe-like roofline and 17inch alloy wheels imparts a very sporty look. The alloy wheels are differently designed for Style and L&K variants. The rear looks sharp with multiple lines running across the width of the car. The new two-part tail lamps are LED units.
Inside the cabin of the Octavia, the most noticeable chage is the new dashboard. The car gets the new-generation virtual cockpit with an all-digital 10.25-inch instrument console, which is customisable, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
