THE TEXAS-BASED hypercar manufactur­er and high-performanc­e vehicle builder, Hennessey Performanc­e Engineerin­g (HPE), started production of the world’s most powerful pickup truck, the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 TRX with its upgraded 6.2-litre supercharg­ed Hellcat V8 producing 1,012bhp. Based on the 702bhp Dodge Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck, the Mammoth 1000 TRX can do the 0-100kmph time in just 3.2 seconds, making it the quickest in the world, while torque grows to 1,313Nm, and can achieve an 11.4-second quarter mile at over 193kmph. Measuring 5,810mm long, 2,090mm wide and 1,970mm high, the hypertruck is capable of carrying six adults in comfort, carrying a payload exceeding 1,043kg and towing more than 3,492kg, making it the most capable performanc­e truck on the market. Moreover, only 200 units of the Mammoth will be produced for customers across the US and around the world.
