Royal Enfield Meteor 350

Rejoice! The lockdown is over and this means we can hit the road one more time (albeit with all Covid protocols in mind). The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is back with me and I decided to take it for a weekend ride some time back. The riding position felt just right for the job and cruising along at 100kmph on an empty highway was just bliss. The engine ticks over with little vibes and the bike just cruises through keeping the rider happy. The route I take is frequented by me on occasional rides and most of the time I ride my very own Himalayan here. The difference I felt was rather clear. The Himalayan is softer and more intimidating as compared to the Meteor. But let’s keep that for another story. The other thing which I noticed was the seat and the level of comfort it offered. There is plenty of space offered and I could move around on the seat pretty easily. However the same cannot be said for the pillion. Thanks to the positioning of the backrest, there is little space in the offing. So in case you are riding with a pillion, the rider will have to etch forward to free up more space. Another recommendation from me personally would be to retrofit the touring seat available in the Royal Enfield accessories catalogue. They offer good comfort and quality and come as a blessing on long rides. Sure aftermarket seats would be cheaper, but these official items will last much longer. Apart from the usual I am also happy to report that the Meteor started up on the button after the lockdown which lasted nearly two months. So no worries about the battery draining out and things like that. So all is well with our Meteor 350.

THERE IS PLENTY OF SPACE OFFERED AND I COULD MOVE AROUND ON THE SEAT PRETTY EASILY
