JLR working on hydrogenbased Defender
IN LINE with the Jaguar Land Rover ‘Reimagine’ strategy announced last month, the FCEV concept project is part of the firm’s aim to achieve zero tailpipe emissions by 2036. They’re also aiming at net zero carbon emissions across its supply chain, products and operations by 2039. Hydrogen-powered FCEVs provide high energy density and rapid refueling with minimal loss of range at low temperatures, making the technology ideal for larger, longer-range vehicles or those operating in extreme environments. For this, JLR will put the Defender SUV to test for its development purpose.
